CHARITY COSTUME DRIVE
SAC Horror Convention And Rotting Flesh Radio Makes Halloween Spooktacular For Kids
The promoter’s of the SAC Horror & Sci-Fi show are already thinking about Halloween and Trick Or Treating, no it’s not because they want to dress in Halloween costumes and feed their insatiable sweet tooth, it’s because of a worthy cause called “Costumes For Kids”.
Costumes for Kids is a program designed to collect new or used costumes, make-up, costumes for disabled children to give them the Halloween they deserve.
The program is headed by well known horror podcast Rotting Flesh Radio owner Jonathan Johnson officially launched the charity last year. The Costumes For Kids charity and it’s sponsors we are looking for Haunted attractions, Individuals, Halloween enthusiasts and more to donate their new, unused, and gently used costumes.
Hosting the Costume drive at the Sac Horror & Sci-fi Show are scream queen celebrities Tara Cardinal and Devanny Pinn. Comic Book Divas is sponsoring their appearance. Celebrity hostess Tara Cardinal explained, ”I’m very much looking forward to meeting the awesome fans from Sacramento – and the ones traveling TO Sacramento. As I announced on facebook, I will be giving away an autographed copy of my Warner Brother’s film “Delivery” to EVERYONE who donates a costume.”
Celebrity scream queen Devanny Pinn agreed, “It is so important to give back and the Costume For Kids charity is a wonderful way for everyone to make a difference in a childs life. Something as simple as donating an outgrown/gently used halloween costume can bring the joy of our awesome holiday to a little boy or girl who may not have otherwise been able to participate in the trick-or-treating experience. I will be there in person at SAC HORROR to receive your costume submissions and thank you for your generosity regarding this awesome cause. Horror has a heart, show them yours”
These costumes in return will be distributed to children who are less fortunate, and children with disabilities including hard to find costumes themes for children in wheel chairs and special needs; Don’t let the name fool you. The charity also accepts Make-Up (unopened), Halloween favors and decor and such to bring the whole Halloween experience to these children and families
The costumes will then be shipped to be cleaned and sent to the families in need to give the children a very special Halloween every year. All sizes are accepted from infant on up.
This year the SAC Horror & Sci-Fi show will be participating in this unique and worthy cause to bring joy to children all over the United States, we ask that you bring their new, unused, and gently used costumes, and unopened makeup and makeup kits to the convention.
